CV — RESUME
Bet Rourich AEC is a cinematographer from Barcelona, working Worldwide, shooting feature films, TV shows, music videos, commercials and the occasional short film. She is a BAFTA member, BIFA voter, and holds an AEC membership.
She has worked with directors such as Isabel Coixet, Rachel Tunnard, Hugo Blick, Poul Berg, Euros Lyn, Beatriz Sanchís, David Ilundáin, Katie Hardie, The Fridman Sisters, Oriol Villar, Sergi Portabella, Viktor Horvath, Elena Trapé, Sergi Perez, Victor Carrey, Paul Fraser, Lyona, Kinopravda, Joakim Reveman, among many others.
Her films have been selected in important film festivals as Tribeca Film Festival (Adult Life Skills), South By Southwest (Wild Honey Pie!), Toronto Film Festival (The Kids from the Port), Berlinale Film Festival (The Astronaut on the Roof), IDFA Amsterdam (Garbo the Spy, shortlisted Best New Appearances), BFI London Film Festival (Emotional Fusebox, The Kids from The Port), Karlovy Vary (Butterfly), Festival de San Sebastián (Blog, Butterfly), AFI (The Runaway), Moscow Film Festival (The Kids from The Port), and Seville European Film Festival (The Kids from the Port, El camí més llarg per tornar a casa).
The feature film “Uno para todos” got a nomination for Best Cinematography at the Catalan Film Academy Awards (Premis Gaudí) in 2021. The pilot Emotional Fusebox, directed by Rachel Tunnard, was nominated for the BAFTA in 2015 and the documentary Garbo was chosen Best Documentary at the Goyas, the Spanish Film Awards. The feature Adult Life Skills won the Nora Ephron Prize at Tribeca Film Festival.
The feature film “Un Amor” directed by Isabel Coixet, with Laia Costa, got 7 Goya nominations, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography.
The feature film “Los Domingos” (Sundays), directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, won The Golden Shell at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Also the Firpresci award and got 3 Premios Forqué nominations.
She is a native Catalan and Spanish speaker, speaks fluent English and basic German, French.
